Helping Victims of Domestic Violence

Give Like Jesus helps fulfill the needs of domestic violence shelters and other organizations that help domestic violence victims by bringing together those in need with people who want to help. If you are interested in helping you can do so by Individual Giving or starting a Giving Group. See the list below of organizations that have partnered with Give Like Jesus.

If you work or volunteer at a place that supports victims of domestic violence, we can help you create an Amazon list of items you need, share an Amazon list you already have, a webpage with a list of needs, volunteer opportunities, or any other requests we are able to accommodate. If you would like us to set up an Amazon list for you, we will send you everything you need to get started. If you do not want us to setup and Amazon list for you, please give us the links to the info you would like us to share in the message section when filling out the form. There is no cost to participate.

Note: If you are not affiliated with, but know of an organization that might be interested, please let us know on the Contact page and we will reach out to them.

  • Metro Nashville-Davidson County Office of Family Safety
The Office of Family Safety serves victims of interpersonal violence (sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, elder abuse, stalking) through our two family safety centers. The Jean Crowe Advocacy Center was the first court-based center in the country, and our Family Safety Center is the largest in the country. We work primarily with engaging with the legal system by helping write orders of protection and providing a safe space to meet before court, and an advocate to go to court with victims. We also provide referral services for support with housing, shelter, food needs, legal services, and more.

We try to provide everything possible for our clients and their kids, especially if they are leaving a situation with only the clothes on their back. Our office provides clothing, food, hygiene items, diapers/formula, shoes, and more to our clients, but it is not included in our metro funding. We rely on donors to provide those resources for clients.
